Profile

   Born in France, Joel Koechlin has lived his entire adult life in India. Trained in photography at the Advanced School of Applied Arts, Vevey, Switzerland, he has fostered an unwavering passion for the craft over several decades. He began his career as a professional photographer in advertising agencies in Paris, France, and has continued as a freelance photographer in India, from Bangalore to the High Himalayas. Having covered a variety of photographic subjects, extending from architectural and corporate work, to travel and adventure, he has written travel articles for international and national magazines.

   Prompt to embrace all aspects of life, in a perpetual quest for personal development and progress, he is a pilot, a motorcycle enthusiast, a mountain lover and a freelance author.

   Published works:

   "Beyond Asanas - The Myths & Legends behind Yogic Postures", a collaboration between Pragya Bhatt for the text and himself for the photography, published by Penguin Random House India.

   "Savitri", Sri Aurobindo's epic work translated into French, published on Amazon in Kindle format & paperback.

   "The Sun-Eyed Children - A Saga of Spiritual Adventure across Space and Time", a novel, published by Leadstart Publishing, Mumbai.

   TV series:

   "Kalki's Great Escape", a Travel Blog, retraces a motorbike adventure in the Himalayas featuring 8 episodes, for Fox Life and National Geographic TV channels.
